Snowflake Liason attending.] John took the opportunity to flag down Lady Swarm before she ran off, and picked out an empty room nearby. John is first in, making sure it's actually empty, and also has chairs, before making a 'coast is clear' motion. [Mini start] * sAFK is now known as John * LadySwarm walks in and waits politely, arms folded across her chest, to see what John wants. This should be good enough. *he tests one of the chairs, by sitting on it* So, I really just have two questions. * LadySwarm raises her eyebrows expectantly. You're firmly on the snowflake side of the fence, while I try pretty hard to stay on the StuCo side; it's tough, though. Do you think liasoning is going to make a difference, or is it worth it? * LadySwarm blinks. "Make a difference how? I think it's a great idea to organize student evacuations, and that was just the first meeting. I'm sure other things will come up." * LadySwarm shrugs. "And if not, I can always stop coming." * John nods. "That leads into the second question. Do you want to keep doing this?" Or come only when someone has liason business. * LadySwarm shrugs again. "I think it's good for someone to do it. You can't, Chary can't, Crystal and Spitterwing don't want to..." They pushed pretty hard to try and make all or some of you show up; but it went down to, ah, voluntary. Even so I think they overstepped that a bit with the emergency summons. * LadySwarm sighs. "Yeah, they didn't make it sound very voluntary. But still, it's a good idea." Maybe they can't *make* any of us show up, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't. * John grins, wryly. "I'm totally going over their heads with this, but that's what I get for having two hats." * LadySwarm grimaces faintly, but doesn't respond to this directly. "I'll keep coming." I know you're kind of swamped as is. I mainly just want to see how you feel about continuing to do this. They like you there, for sure. * LadySwarm shrugs. "Like I said. Someone should do it." Coo'. Any other comments? * LadySwarm thinks about it for a moment. She's obviously considering *something*, but she just as obviously decides not to say it. "Not really." * John furrows slightly at the obvious silence, but moves on. "Well, one other thing then. My goof earlier made me think of it." Herc can run a mail relay, and set up some proxy emails, if you want to pass out a Lady Swarm email that's seperate from your normal one. That way it wouldn't all have to go through me. You want one? Could be useful, especially for liasoning. * LadySwarm thinks some more. "Yeah. At least for the council members, so they don't have to tell you to get ahold of me if they have liason-type business." I'll have Herc set it up, then. * LadySwarm nods. "Thanks." Thank _you_. It's nice to have someone to be there just for the Snowflakes. The balancing act I've had to do is tough. * LadySwarm nods. "Just be John in the future. I'll be a Snowflake." * John nods. "It makes it easier for... ... them, too." * LadySwarm raises her eyebrows, a little confused. "The other council members?" * John leans forward, then stands up. "The other one with two hats." * LadySwarm blinks some more, opens her mouth, and then shuts it again, having figured it out. "Oh." * LadySwarm doesn't really seem to know what to say to that. * John smiles amiably. "That's all I got. You're free to go, and all that." * LadySwarm huffs a breath that isn't quite a snort and isn't quite a laugh, and waves goodbye over her shoulder as she walks out the door. "See you later then."
